Hosta Leaves #3

Postby renaldo75 » Mar 20, 2007 8:55 am

Here's a new batch for today. Hoping for another nice day here. I have one more hosta bed to clean up & then I'll be ready for the 2-3 days of rain that are forecast.

  I never weighed out the merits of both songs - I like both of them, Claudia.

Thanks, Claudia & OC!! :P

This is a Cannon PowerShot A10 that I got in 2003. And it was on close-out so it was obsolete even then. LOL It is just 1.3 megapixels [which I think is what most cellphones have now] and has 6X optical zoom. I was using the Macro setting when I took these. I had been inspired to try one nite after somebody posted some of their  macro shots on here. I still have the pics I took that nite of the wall & lamp in my bedroom. :???: The next day I was out getting pics of the hostas that still looked good.

And when I use the Macro again, I'll have to read the chapter over cuz I don't remember a thing about using it now.

Loving your leaves  and whatever you are doing with your camera--they look great.
We are in for rain also and that should get the frost out of the ground. Now all I have to do is move the tree pieces off the plants.

Thanks, Cheryl & Planwerk & OC again. :P

Well I stepped outside after lunch & decided it was too gray & cold & windy to entice me out any farther. I'm glad I stayed inside cuz about 45 minutes later the faucet turned on at full blast for about a minute & then turned back almost off again & rained for another 20-30 min. I would have been soaked and in a worse humor than I already was. :x

Great pics, Renaldo. I read the 'explanation' in the Hosta Handbook and I think I'm more confused than ever. :o
I'm really, really, really impressed that you are down to the end of your cleanup. I haven't started. Not a thing...nada, zip, zilch. Don't even have the ornamental grasses burned yet. Between the weather and very poor timing with a back injury, I'm starting the season waaaay behind...

Thanks, Pia & Linda. :P

Sorry to hear about your back injury. Hope you're feeling better soon!!

My cleanup is on hold for now - but all that's left to do is the west holding bed that nothing ever gets done in anyway. LOL So I guess there's no rush. It rained off & on thru the nite too I guess w/thunder & lightning. I got my info from Sara cuz I was out fast last nite, but there was still a little thunder & rain when I woke up this morning. Rain stopped here not long after I got up.
