Kiwi Full Monty - never fails to make my top 10 list. The blue color holds well, and even now in August it looks distinctly different from Striptease
June Fever - I really like Devon Green, but when you plant it in combination with June Fever the two really "pop" Unique yellow color to this one
Earth Angel - Just about everything - great color, great size, excellent growth rate!
Guardian Angel - great up here in zone 5, but in warmer zones this one will turn solid blue too quickly. Still, it is a favorite here
Rainbow's End - I HAVE to get one of these in the display garden, but right now I've sold every last plant we had.
Grand Slam - Would love to use this one in hybridizing
Lakeside Ripples - Beautiful upright, wavy leaves held horizontally. Terrific architectural plant
Cathedral Windows - Stained Glass used to be a favorite, but this one tops it
Lakeside Old Smokey - Piecrust edges, frosty blue, fantastic flowers, and a great grower
Lakeside Meadow Ice - This one shocked me...after 2 years thinking this was a dog, this year the leaves are thick, shiny, and feel like rubber. I might not be crazy about it in a couple more years, but for 2009 this was a nice surprise
Blue Mouse Ears - I'm thinking about using this one as a border plant because it is so cute and compact, and again, great flowers which always puts something higher on my list
Raspberry Sorbet - Again, nice and shiny dark green with one of the best flower displays
Journey's End - really growing on me, can't wait for it to get big. Piecrust edges are really starting to stand out on this one
Radiant Star - yes, I'm proud to have found this one. Maybe in a few more years it will be on other's favorite lists too
Regal Splendor - A classic, still one of the best in my book
Liberty - WOW, my oldest plant is finally getting to be stunning!
Fantasy Island - another one that I want to use as a border plant. Great growth, color, and pretty pink scapes
Ventricosa Aureomarginata - Can't forget this beauty either, another great classic
I'm debating including Sum and Substance. I really like it, but I think I'm over it - others have grown bigger in the garden, like the Angels, and it just doesn't stand out to me as much. Sure, people ooh and ahh over it in the growing areas, but I just kind of gloss over it any longer...
Thanks for doing this list Tom
Chris
