This is a sport of Abba Dabba Do that is trying to sport. Hopefully, it will produce something special this coming spring. I've enjoyed having some time off and now I'm ready to get back out in the garden.
I had a similar looking sport on my Aspen Gold (possibly Midas Touch); I cut off the sporting eye and replanted in seperately. Very eager to see results this spring.
Are both of those leaves out of the same eye? If not, you are not likely to see them again, sadly. Are you saying that the gold plant itself is a sport of ADD?

Many a great tune has been played on an older fiddle.
Is there a thin green edge on those yellow leaves? That is really pretty on its own. The green splashes aren't even enough to get excited about, as it is not likely to be stable, but the rest of the plant is very nice. Not sure how it compares to other reverse sports of Abba Dabba Do, but I like it.
Yes, it has a thin dark green margin. I wish I had taken a close up of the leaf. The margin is seen better when the plant is in more sun and later in the season.
