I'm bumping this up because I'm still wondering where so many of our usual members have gone to. If you're out there lurking, check in please so we'll know that all is well -- or if it isn't well, we want to know that, too. Phyllis

Hi Phyliss, as you probably gathered, I am here and Karma and a few others!!! I just need my Hallson fix!!! I have ordered several new Heuchera and several new Hosta, and am anxious to start getting my orders. We had a sunny day today, supposed to get rain tomorrow, snow maybe, even. Jeez, I am ready for spring! Oh well!!! Like I said before, the Barometer is having a nervous break down, it doesn't know which way to go, the sky-light in the kitchen sprung a leak, and if I don't get a hair cut soon, I will need dog tags. It's always something. Anyway I am hoping to hear from some more folks too.

I am busy babysitting when I can, working full time, and trying to manage the health and happiness of two very eldery (ie, over 100 each) relatives. I had back to back foot surgeries this past late summer and fall. I had heel spurs and very bad tendinitis on both feet and was getting where I could hardly walk at all. 32 years of nursing took its toll.
Well, I am gung ho to garden this year. I did virtually nothing this past spring and summer (after the may wedding in our garden last year). I have alot of catching up to do.

Wow Cheryl, sounds like you really had your hands and feet full this past year! Sure hope the surgery went well, though it sounds like it did :) I had really bad foot issues years ago and when I finally went to the doctor for it he took one look at my shoes and told me to throw them away, spend some money on some real shoes, then come see him again in a month. I was almost embarrassed by it, because I went from barely being able to walk to being just fine, and cancelled my next appointment

Cheryl -- glad you're back with us, and that your surgeries were successful, and are a thing of the past. Chris, just goes to show that if your feet hurt, you hurt all over! Hooray for well-fitting, sensible shoes! Phyllis

Hi everyone! I haven't been around much because last year the voles wreaked havoc on my hostas, daylilies, sedums, etc. I didn't post because I would have been constantly whining. It's a new year. Even though it appears that many plants are gone, I am ready to play in the garden again. :D

Hey Pat, Bob, everyone else who has checked in. It's lovely to see the forum filling up again. Don't let those voles get the upper hand -- or tooth-- Pat -- you and your garden will bounce back, I guarantee it. Phyllis

I found it amusing that I spent over 800 bucks out of pocket for orthotics for my shoes (inserts) that my foot surgeon had me throw away. My original doctor, a foot dr (podiatrist) wasn't a very good doc and made my conditon worse in the long run.

Welcome back, Ed -- It's good to see the "old gang" gathering again, along with a lot of new people. The more the merrier is my motto -- and the more contributors we have, the more gardening questions get answered! Phyllis
