Cecille Brunner is dead!

I just bought it last year. :( What should I plant that's a pink climber? Should I try another Cecille Brunner?

THere are a lot of pink climbers out there, not sure what exactly you are looking for. If you really want one that will get huge, you might give New Dawn a try. She's a big girl though and will eat your house if given a chance. Wonderfully hardy though it is almost impossible to kill her, she is quite the looker.

Pretty spot.

I guess it depends on what color pink you want. That arbor isn;t big enough to fend off New Dawn (IMHO) so I might choose something more manageable.

Maybe Zephrine Drouhin? Very pretty, dark pink, smells great and thornless. http://www.jacksonandperkins.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/BECProductDisplay?langId=-1&storeId=10053&catalogId=10005&categoryId=10879&category=JSC38&productId=1043910&topCat=Rose+Tag+Sale&subCat=Climbers+%26+Antiques

America is another that I like a lot - sort of a coral.
Viking Queen is another I have heard good things about, but I don't grow her.
Aloha is another pretty, soft pink

I would not give up as it appears this is the one you selected to go with in the first place. Just select another place to purchase it. I use the three strikes rule here, if on the third time it dies well I'm not going to do that again.

It wasn't dead after all. I'm glad I just left it there. In late summer, it started showing signs of life. Silly thing! :)
