Is this the Virus?

Postby EmpressWu » Jun 04, 2017 10:13 am

Dear experts,

Some minutes ago I registed here because I have a strong suspicion that one of my hostas has this virus.
I'd be grateful if you could comment. I do not know the hosta's name. Here are the leaves with parts where no
color seems to be any more, looks sort of faded out:

Hello,

This looks like frost/cold damage. It doesn't look like any kind of virus :D

So much of this kind of damage (a sort of plant edema) due to strange weather this spring. The leaves sucked up a lot of water and then the cells burst before the cell walls had strengthened sufficiently. The kind of damage that the edges of Frances Williams show in most years.
