Pic of the Day--Summer Serenade

Postby Hank Zumach » Jul 18, 2007 11:51 am

Hi All--Summer Serenade is a winner. Since I got it in 2002 it has shown a good growth rate and its bright foliage is very attractive. Growing in a spot that gets a couple of hours of afternoon sun, it's size in 2002 was 13x6. From there its measurements have been 14x10, 24x11, 35x13, 47x18 and 60x22. So, in its 6th year in our garden it reached the 60x28 listed in Lemke's Data Base. Slugs are not a problem on any of the plants in this area of our garden, due to a routine application of Deadline MP. The pix are from 2002, 2004 and 2007.
