Poking Upwards????

I am just shocked to see that these are poking upward already. I guess I'll be out tomorrow if weather
permits trying to cover them up? Anyone else noting this??

I have lots of mine readying themselves to bloom in the next week or so! I will have to take some pics to post.

Oh my and I thought ours were early! The hybrid babies on the north side of the house where it's warmer didn't go to sleep even
covered with all the snow. I have a lot of babies from last year that will be moved into the hosta bed when I can get out to dig.

Well after snow yesterday on the valley floor, I thought I best go check on babies in the yard. I covered these up in
Jan but they still think they should be blooming? I have crocus blooming and the tips of the peonies are showing!

The unplanted hellebores that got moved to the greenhouse during those really cold three weeks are now blooming. I'll get pictures posted later. Everything outside is raring to go and I can't wait to bring home the 40 or so that DorisJ has been "babysitting" for me for the last four years. Lots of pictures coming!!

I was outside a few minutes ago and was very surprised to see buds on all my hellebores. They are predicting snow for next week (after several days in the 60's) so I will be covering them with a light layer of leaves form my reserved pile. I can't wait to see blooms though!

caliloo, we are in the same boat here! We dodged the snow yesterday but they are saying snow on either Sun. or Mon. on the valley floor.
I'm done covering, they just won't stay down.

I finally for a fare shot as they have been in bloom for a while now, just to cold to go out.
I have lots of babies as I dropped the seedpods last fall trying to harvest one handed.
