Horned Lark!

New bird for me!!! I had started searchng for this bird last week after a friend on another site saw a lot of them in Ohio. Luckily I live in an area with lots of cornfields right in the neighborhood. So I drove around with the windows down and right down the road I heard them singing! It took me until today to finally get a few bad shots of one. They are the only true lark in North America.

I also saw this Blue Bird which I could NOT get in focus...he was huge!
There were 4 Turkey Vultures down the road having some possum for lunch!

Awesome. I have yet to see a bluebird around our house. I do see them often when I'm up in Cleveland.

That is SO COOL! I don't think I've seen a horned lark myself, way to go! (even a poor photo is a good photo of a first sighting! )

I have never seen a horned lark either.
From the cleavage on it, there must be pleanty for it to eat!
