Congratulations, Owen! You've got a few months before they start eating into your gardening budget. Are your boys ready to be overtaken?

Yup, I think that would definitely put a damper on the gardening for a while, but heck, they'll be out of the house in 20 years or so, and then you can get back to it ;)

Thanks everyone, I think lol. I think both the boy's are excited and ready. hoping for some little ladies this go around! Chris, I'd kill someone if I couldn't garden for 20 years! Work a little OT and maybe pick up a second job if I have to.

Congratulations, Owen! Are your boys old enough yet to tie shoes? Someone will need
to do that for your wife before long. Seriously, I hope all goes well and the babies arrive
safe and sound, with as little difficulty for your wife as is possible carrying twins.

Hooray and Huzzah for Twins! Congrats to you and your wife -- and to the two 'big brothers", who are going to have a lot of big brothering to do. When my brother and his wife were having twins, he said he was going to buy a lightweight aluminum snow shovel so she could continue to clear the walks right up until delivery! He didn't, and SHE didn't, of course! How old are your two boys? Big enough to be a help instead of a hindrance? Again -- congrats! Phyllis

Just wondering how things are going with Mom and the two coming babies. Also, how dad and the two boys are holding up through all of this. When are these babies due, can we ask? Phyllis

Of course you can ask and thank you for doing so Phyllis! Mom, (Melinda) is doing pretty good, having a little trouble with the nausea and tiredness. Doctor said pregnancy affects would be doubled, double the babies means double the hormones or something like that. She is almost 3 months along and the babies are due December 7th, but Doc said at 38 weeks she could choose to have the babies at any time and most have them around a month early anyways.

Boys are doing well and excited. The oldest, Strider, likes the idea of having twins and is hoping for a sister or two. Link is still to young to comprehend it (just turned two). Though I have to say he's done a lot to get ready. We weened him from the bottle and moved him him to a normal bed to get ready. Going to try to potty train him, but don't think he's old enough. He will also have to go down stairs and move in with Strider. I'm pretty good. Picked up some more slack around the house and trying to get everything else ready. We were really blessed too, a friend unbeknownst to us bought us a double stroller and car seats and sent it to our house. other than the car this was our largest expense. They also gave us a crib so we are close to ready to go. Just need to figure the car situation out.

We will find out the sex in about 6 weeks. After that we can really get all things wrapped up.

How exciting! Be sure you document this time before the babies are born with lots of photos, since it's one of the high points (or the low, depending on how nauseated your poor wife is!) of your lives together, and all four kids will want to see those pics all the while they are growing up. Thanks for filling us in!
Re: moving your two year old to his older brother's room -- I'd do it as soon as you can, because you can bill this move as his becoming a BIG boy, able to bunk in with his big brother -- rather than his having to move out of his own room to make space for two newcomers. That might make him more resentful than he would otherwise be, about sharing his parents with two extra interlopers! Moving him now would make it a celebratory move, for sure. Best of luck and blessings on this wonderful new adventure. Phyllis
