Coots growing Red Canna Bed

Postby oldcoot » May 08, 2012 11:30 am

With all the rain we have had my Canna bed by the garage door that was so pretty last year, must have divided several times. Got stems coming up everywhere. I am concerned about one thing though. When I went out to get the mail (Love to do that - gets me outside and I can see what is going on. And being mobile (wheel-chair) I get places pretty fast - it's electric.is that I I am seeing some blooms starting to show up and the stems have not nearly reached the height they were last year. Guess all this warm weather we are having ,has fooled their bloom time. Everything seems about a month early...

Beautiful-I'm waiting for mine to get flower stems. I actually was able to over winter them in the ground near the foundation of my house. Rarity here in my zone. One is Wyoming, the other I don't remember.
