Delta Pride

Postby mooie » Jun 09, 2008 12:25 pm

This is one of my all time favorite hostas. A very easy to grow plant, highly steaked. But the best part of all is the seedlings it passes along to me every year. The best streakers ever! Last year the squirrels got the seeds before I did, so I limped thru the winter with my other seeds...sniff.

I actually wasn't too unhappy when my Delta Dawn didn't reappear a couple of years ago. For exactly that reason.

Very nice streaker there... glad it gives you nice babies. I ordered it one year, but never got it.... forgot why. Now I am sad.
Cheers~

Nice streaker!

:D wow, Reldon... exactly the same thing with me... lost DD two years ago and haven't replaced it, though the tag is still in place until I update my map - so I still get the song stuck in my head.

Thankfully, I can walk a few steps (past Radio Waves, to change the channel...) to Summer Breeze if I want to feel hippieish, Unforgettable if I want to feel stylish, and Sentimental Journey for Big Band... and of course, two steps further is Let Me Entertain You, not far from On Stage...

Delta Dawn, What's that flower you have on?
Could it be a faded rose from days gone by........
Or did I hear you say, he was a meetin you here today.
To take you to his mansion in the sky......

Oh....excuse me....once that song is in your head , you just can't help yourself.

Any hoo.......that Delta Pride is gorgeous! I will certainly keep my eye open for it, especially since you say it's a good grower.
