This is an historical update. I was working on Prince of Darkness for a "Hosta of the Day" topic and thought I saw I similarity in PoD to some of the Fortunei types I have especially along the Francee side of the family. I thought Woop Woop at first (I should have thought Pathfinder). But that wasn't it. Then Americana hit me. I went back to the HotD page but it only had 2011 images from late in the season when the center is bright white. I was looking for earlier when the center starts out a creamy yellow. Went back to some of my really old pictures and here is the "update" from 2008 and 2009. You will be able to see the similarity to an early PoD when I get its HotD up.
