Postby redcrx » Nov 06, 2014 11:25 am

rectifolia 'Nishiki' is a rectifolia sport. It is a medium sized mound shaped plant with a white edged leaves. It produces dark flowers late in the season. It is rhizomatous.

Registry - not in the Registry - the MyHostas database notes it as a species

the pictures in the Hosta Library are mine from the 2010 season

This plant came from Barry Yinger's Asiatica Nursery in 2010.

Here it is in late 2011

rectifolia 'Nishiki' late in the 2013 season

I left this blurry photo in the group because it highlights the different coloration of the sepal and petal. (I know the combination is usually called tepal because they are the same but sometimes there are differences.) The three interior petals have a light edge to them where the sepals have a more uniform coloration across them.
