Hosta of the Day - kiyosumiensis

Postby redcrx » May 10, 2016 7:49 am

kiyosumiensis is a green hosta with a rippled edge, shiny leaf backs and twisted leaf tips. It is named for the mountain in Japan where it was found.

Hosta Registry - not registered - it's a species

This plant flowered last season but I missed getting photos.

Here you can see the twisted leaf tip.

I just noticed in the Library write-up of this plant it mentions "finely serrated leaf edges". I went back into my photos and the third photo in the first set does show this.

I will aim for it the next time I'm looking.
