Hosta of the day, ‘Royal Mouse Ears’

Postby ViolaAnn » Apr 20, 2017 8:16 am

Name: ‘Royal Mouse Ears’
Description: Medium blue-green, with cream coloured streaks. Dull on top, glaucous bloom underneath deeply cupped, nearly round with a cordate base.
Size: Mini (9"w x 5"h)
Origin: sport of H. 'Blue Mouse Ears'
Flowers: pale lavender, striped, bell shaped, near end of June
Added to garden: Spring 2011
Notes: This one has lost nearly all of its streaking. I expect it will all disappear soon. it's also been a slow grower. 2016 was its 6th year in my garden and it may be even smaller than several years ago.
