Ground cover for sun

These perennial plants work well as ground covers for sunny areas. Other plants such as Daylilies can also work as a thick groundcover when planted in masses, but these plants tend to spread on their own so work well as a ground cover.

Ceratostigma plumbaginoides (plumbago) is a creeping groundcover for sun to part shade with deep green leaves that are topped with deep blue flowers in late summer into fall. The leaves turn red-orange after frost for great autumn color.
