Description: Long, upright leaves with deep veins are a dark blue-green turning darker green, forming a large, architectural clump. Near white flowers in summer provide a nice contrast against the dark foliage.

Blooms: Near white flowers bloom in June/July.

Comments: The leaves of Hosta 'Coal Miner' grow up and out, forming a large, graceful, upright clump. It is blue-green in early summer with the leaves turning darker as the season progresses.

Light: Light sun to full shade. -- Soil: Humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil.
