Description: Leaves are glossy, pointed, very blue with rippled, wavy edges that arch and fold to reveal white backs.

Blooms: Lavender flowers in midsummer.

Comments: This is an attractive hybrid of H. 'Salute' x H. pycnophylla. As the season progresses it turns blue-green but the new foliage is always powdery blue creating a nice contrast.

Light: Part shade to full shade. -- Soil: Humus-rich, moist soil.

    Mine is 5 years old and has grown into a good-sized clump under a stand of spruce trees. Competes well with tree roots.
