Hosta 'Jimmy Crack Corn'

(Sawyer)

Clump Size: (L) 48" x 26"

Leaf Size: 8" x 5" -- Vein Pairs: 14 - 15

Description: Chartreuse turning bright yellow leaves have prominent veins and a nice piecrust edge, forming a large mound.

Blooms: Near white.

Comments: This seedling of Hosta 'Peidmont Gold' has fantastic bright yellow color and an attractive piecrust edge. Some people report having trouble growing this one but we really haven't seen any problems with this crop. We do suggest growing it in some bright sunlight in well draining soil that doesn't stay water logged for best results.

Light: Part sun to light shade. -- Soil: Humus-rich and well-aerated, moist but well-drained soil.

Zones: 2 - 8
