Description: Leaves are oval to elongated, wavy, bluish-gray, forming a distinctive and impressive, upright, vase-shaped mound.

Blooms: Light lavender flowers bloom on 5 to 6 foot tall scapes in summer.

Comments: This possible hybrid of Hosta nigrescens imported from Japan grows in an upright, vase shape with very tall flowers, making it a great choice for a background plant.

Light: Light sun to full shade. -- Soil: Humus-rich, moist soil.

    I have three growing in some filtered light and they are a sight to behold with their upright habit. I may be wrong but its my impression that they show more of their legs as they try to grow towards the light in a shadier location.
