Hosta 'Laura Lanier'

(Kuk 2002)

Clump Size: (M) 44" x 20"

Leaf Size: 8" x 6" -- Vein Pairs: 8 - 10

Description: This hosta emerges chartreuse with a light green edge and becomes shiny yellow with a green edge by summer. It has slightly elongated wavy leaves, forming a medium sized clump.

Blooms: Pale lavender flowers bloom in midsummer.

Comments: Hosta 'Laura Lanier' is a sport of Hosta 'Sea Yellow Sunrise'. It emerges with a waxy coating that quickly melts off to reveal a very shiny leaf in the summer. It is easy to grow, just give it a little bright light for the best color.

Light: Light sun to full shade. -- Soil: Rich, moist soil.

Zones: 2 - 8
