Hosta 'Niagara Falls'

(Brincka/Petryszyn 1991)

Clump Size: (L) 48" x 26"

Leaf Size: 15" x 9" -- Vein Pairs: 15 - 16

Description: Large, rounded to oval, dark green leaves have many deeply impressed veins and a very attractive, tightly rippled piecrust edge, and they cascade downward from stiff, upright petioles.

Blooms: Pale violet flowers bloom in July.

Comments: Hosta 'Niagara Falls' is one of the best piecrust edged hostas we grow. It works great as a background or specimen plant, just be sure to give it plenty of space as it can grow quite large.

Light: Part shade to full shade. -- Soil: Humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil.

Related Plants: Hoosier Dome, War Paint

Zones: 2 - 8

Has grown into an impressive clump in 5 years. It has lots of "wow" factor.
