Hosta 'Roy Klehm'

(Hansen 2007)

Clump Size: (M) 30" x 21"

Leaf Size: 11" x 9" -- Vein Pairs: 10 - 11

Description: Rounded, thick leaves are yellow with a wide dark green margin that will form a medium to medium large mound. (PP#19647)

Blooms: Near white to pale lavender flowers bloom in June and July.

Comments: Hosta 'Roy Klehm' is a tetraploid sport of Hosta 'Summer Serenade'. It has very thick leaves that could form a large mound, however as a tetraploid plant it doesn't multiply as fast so should take some extra time to show its true potential. It is fairly sun tolerant though the contrast between center and margin looks best in light sun or dappled shade.

Light: Part sun to dappled shade. -- Soil: Humus-rich, moist, well-drained soil.

Related Plants: Piedmont Gold, Summer Serenade

Zones: 2 - 8
