Hosta 'Spilt Milk'

(Seaver 1999)

Clump Size: (ML) 36" x 20"

Leaf Size: 10.5" x 8" -- Vein Pairs: 15

Description: Leaves are thick, round to heart-shaped, cupped and puckered, blue-green with irregularly streaked, narrow white and gray markings.

Blooms: Near white flowers bloom just above the clump in June and early July.

Comments: This stable, streaked hosta gets its best color in a cool, shady location. It is a bit slow to get established plus is not tolerant of heat nor drought so we recommend planting the crown about 2" to 2 1/2" below the soil for best results.

Light: Part shade to full shade. -- Soil: Humus-rich, cool, moist soil.

Related Plants: Green Milk

Zones: 2 - 8
