Description: Hosta 'Wolverine' has leaves that are arching, lance-shaped with a rounded base, blue-green turning green with a wide, slightly wavy yellow margin.

Blooms: Pale lavender flowers bloom in August.

Comments: This plant, name for the Univeristy of Michigan wolverines, has an excellent growth rate and looks good all season long. Plant it in part to full shade for the best blue color although it is also fairly sun tolerant.

Light: Part shade to full shade. -- Soil: Humus-rich, moist, well-drained soil.

    If you like blue hostas with a gold margin fading to cream, this is a hosta for you. Mine have been fast growing in a bit of sun.
