    Heuchera 'Amethyst Myst'

    Heuchera 'Amethyst Myst' has excellent purple foliage with an overlay of silver that brings out the color of the dark veins.  It has white flowers in the summer and grows 10" high and 18 to 24" wide.  It is sun, heat, and humidity tolerant and a good choice for Southern gardens.

    Heuchera 'Blondie' (PP#24564) is a cute little coral bell with caramel colored foliage in the spring turning a deeper greenish color as it ages. It flowers almost all summer long with dense cream to creamy-yellow colored flowers on short stalks. Foliage grows 5" high and 8" wide.

    Heuchera 'Fire Chief'

    Heuchera 'Fire Chief' (PP#21880) is an attractive red leaf coral bell that emerges bright red turning wine red and topped with light pink flowers in mid to late summer. It grows 9" high and 15" wide with 18" tall flower stalks.  This variety does well in the sun and also grows well in the South.

    Heuchera 'Guacamole' is a brightly colored villosa hybrid with huge lime-green leaves that really brighten up the shady garden. It is a great grower reaching 18 to 24" high and 24 to 30" wide!  Plant it in part sun to nearly full shade in good, well-draining soil.

    Heuchera 'Stainless Steel' (PP#23349) has shimmering foliage that starts out an iridescent purple and becomes a bright silvery-white by the end of the summer.  It has many white flowers in early summer and grows 8 to 12" high with 18" wide.

    Hibiscus 'Lady Baltimore'

    Hibiscus 'Lady Baltimore' forms a 4 to 5' tall plant with deeply lobed green foliage and 6 to 8" pink flowers with a red eye.  The flowers are a bit different from other hardy hibiscus in that they are shaped a bit like a teacup.  Like Hibiscus 'Lord Baltimore' it grows tall and upright.

    Hibiscus 'Midnight Marvel' (PP#24079) is an excellent hybrid with dark purple tinted, maple-like foliage that is covered with 8 to 9" scarlet red flowers from late summer into fall. It grows about 4' tall and will have the darkest foliage with lots of sunlight.

    Hibiscus 'Robert Fleming' (PP#14776) has large dark cherry-red flowers that open from near black buds over deep green, somewhat corrugated foliage. It is compact, growing to 3' high and wide, with flowers that open at the top of the plant as well as from lateral side branches.

    Leucanthemum 'Whoops-a-Daisy' (PP#27259) is a compact and nicely mounding, long flowering daisy with many white petals around a yellow-gold center. It mounds about 15" high and spreads about 20" wide. Deadhead and they will flower all summer long.

    Monarda 'Beebop'

    Monarda punctata 'Beebop' (PPAF) is a compact selection of the native spotted horsemint with spotted, yellow flowers surrounded by attractive pink bracts, growing 24" high and spreading 24 to 30" wide.  Spotted horsemint is a drought tolerant plant that is happy in the prairie or meadow garden.  It is a favorite plant for many pollinators including bees and hummingbirds and in our gardens it is a favorite for the gentle but giant great black wasps which love to drink nectar all summer long from the masses of flowers.

    Monarda fistulosa

    Monarda fistulosa is a bee balm native to prairies, unplanted fields, and dry rocky woodlands.  Bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds enjoy the light lavender flowers all summer long.  These are much more drought tolerant and mildew resistant than the Monarda didyma hybrids but are easy to grow and a wonderful plant for the wildflower garden.

    Pulsatilla vulgaris mixture

    Pulsatilla vulgaris has anemone-like bell shaped flowers in early spring over fern-like foliage forming a 12" mound followed by fluffy seed heads. This seed grown mixture has flowers in a wide array of colors that can be red, purple, dark purple, and wine.  Most of the 2018/2019 crop has red flowers.
