Penstemon (beardtongue) from Hallson Gardens: We ship Penstemon in the spring from mid April through the end of May, again in the fall, and we also sell them at the nursery in the summer. They are 2 to 3 year old field grown plants, freshly dug, trimmed back and shipped bare root.

Penstemon 'Dark Towers' (PP#20013) is an improved Penstemon 'Husker's Red' with dark wine purple foliage that keeps its dark color. In summer it has many 36" spikes of light pink flowers that are a favorite for hummingbirds.
