Thelypteris decursive-pinnata, Japanese beech fern, has 18 to 24" narrow erect, tapering fronds that are a nice bright green, all season long. It is easy to grow and fairly drought tolerant, slow spreading from short, underground rhizomes, forming a dense colony.
