Allium 'Millenium'

Allium 'Millenium' has strap-like green leaves growing 12" high with showy 2" rose-purple rounded flower clusters on 18" stems. It is a sterile hybrid that adds great late summer color to the sunny garden.  It was named 2018 Perennial of the Year.

Allium 'Millenium' tends to develop shorter clumps than Allium 'Summer Beauty' but the flowers have a slightly darker hue. Like other ornamental onions it is not picky about soil and is very heat and drought tolerant.

Height: 18" Spacing: 12 - 15" apart
Light: Full sun to part sun Soil: Average to loamy, well-draining
Bloom Time: July/August Zones: 4 - 9
