Brunnera 'King's Ransom'

Brunnera 'King's Ransom' (PPAF) is a sport of Brunnera 'Jack Frost' with the same silvery heart-shaped leaves and prominent green veining however it also has a terrific creamy yellow band around the edge of each leaf. Brunnera does best when planted in a cool, shady location with rich but well-drained soil however they can also take a surprising amount of bright light given good soil and occasional moisture. This variety has held up very well for us through the summer, performing much better than other edge variegated Brunnera. Like its parent it is covered with tiny, sky blue forget-me-not like flowers in the spring.

Height: 12 - 15" Spacing: 15 - 18" apart
Light: Light sun to full shade Soil: Humus-rich, woodland, moist but well-drained
Bloom Time: Spring Zones: 3 - 9
