Centaurea 'Amethyst in Snow'

Centaurea 'Amethyst in Snow' (PP#18284) is a vigorous perennial with gray-green leaves and beautiful white petaled, royal purple centered flowers blooming for several weeks in the summer. It spreads densely underground forming new clumps of foliage near the base and each new clump develops large flower buds through the summer. Cut back hard when the flowers fade to encourage even more blossoms.

Because of its overall size potential it is best used in a mixed wildflower garden with plants such as Echinacea, Rudbeckia, Iris, Poppies, Sedum, and grasses.

Height: 16 - 18" Spacing: 18 - 24" apart
Light: Full sun to part sun Soil: Average to rich, moist but well-draining
