Cimicifuga 'Brunette'

Creamy white flowers open from pale pink buds on tall spikes in late summer and fall over dark green to bronze/black foliage with the best color in a location with morning sunlight. The bottlebrush shaped spikes provide a very nice vertical accent in the fall woodland garden when few other plants are blooming. Plant them in groups of 3 for the best effect. Also known as Actaea 'Brunette'.

Height: 36 - 48" Spacing: 15 - 18" apart
Light: Light sun to full shade Soil: Humus-rich, moist but well-drained, woodland
Bloom Time: late summer and fall Zones: (3) 4 - 8
