Coreopsis 'Cosmic Eye'

Coreopsis 'Cosmic Eye' (PP#22601) is another long blooming coreopsis hybrid that is like a compact version of Coreopsis 'Redshift'. It has creamy yellow petals around a burgundy red eyezone, blooming from early summer to fall on a 15" high by 18" wide clump.

Coreopsis 'Cosmic Eye' is part of the Big Bang series of hybrids from Darrel Probst. It overwinters in zone 5 but like most other coreopsis prefers good winter and spring drainage. It is also very heat and drought tolerant in the garden, combining well with other drought tolerant plants like Sedum, Allium, and bearded Iris.

Height: 15" Spacing: 15" apart
Light: Full sun to part sun Soil: Average to rich, well-draining
Bloom Time: Summer into fall Zones: 5 - 9
