Coreopsis 'Mercury Rising'

Coreopsis 'Mercury Rising' (PP#24689) has excellent wine red blossoms with a golden orange center that flower from early summer into fall on nicely branching plants that grow 18" high and 24 to 36" wide. It is very hardy given full sun and good drainage, overwintering just fine over two winters here with temps below -20 degrees!

Coreopsis 'Mercury Rising' is part of the Big Bang series of hybrids from Darrel Probst. It is very heat and drought tolerant in the garden, combining well with other drought tolerant plants like Sedum, Russian Sage, Agastache, and ornamental grasses.

Height: 18" Spacing: 24" apart
Light: Full sun to part sun Soil: Average to rich, well-draining
Bloom Time: Summer into fall Zones: 5 - 9
