Euphorbia polychroma
Euphorbia polychroma, or cushion spurge, has mounding green foliage that is covered with bright yellow bracts in the spring then in the fall the foliage turns an attractive bronze-red. Plant it towards the back of the garden where it will act like a bright yellow beacon in the spring and then it will serve as a nice green backdrop the rest of the year. Like other Euphorbias they self-seed freely but the seedlings are easy to transplant or can be allowed to spread as a groundcover.
