Helleborus 'Golden Lotus'
Helleborus 'Golden Lotus' is a variable double flowering hybrid strain from the Winter Jewels series of hellebores by Marietta O'Byrne. Multi-petalled flowers bloom in various shades of yellow to creamy yellow, often with a reddish edge. The double flowers hang down on upright stems in late winter/early spring and are great in the woodland garden. Hellebores tend to go summer dormant, though the foliage is evergreen, so they don't like water or fertilizer during the heat of the summer and like to be transplanted in the fall.
