Hosta 'Clear Fork River Valley'

(Van Wade 2007)

Clump Size: (L) 50" x 26"

Leaf Size: 11" x 11" -- Vein Pairs: 13 - 15

Description: Leaves are thick, dark green and heavily corrugated, forming a large mound. The foliage starts out with a slight bluish wax in early summer but is considered more green overall.

Blooms: Lavender flowers bloom in June/July.

Comments: Though often listed as a blue hosta or a blue-green hosta this is more of a dark green in the garden. It is really known for the intensely bumped and corrugated leaves which add a nice contrast in the garden against the smooth leaves of other hostas.

Light: Part shade to full shade. -- Soil: Humus-rich, moist, well-drained soil.

Zones: 2 - 8
