Hosta 'Curly Fries'

(Solberg 2008)

Clump Size: (SM) 24" x 10"

Leaf Size: 8" x 2" -- Vein Pairs: 4

Description: Leaves are long and lance-shaped, very wavy, chartreuse green in spring changing to a unique shade of yellow in the summer.

Blooms: Medium lavender flowers bloom in summer.

Comments: Hosta 'Curly Fries' is a seedling of Hosta 'Pineapple Upsidedown Cake' that has very long and narrow, wavy and rippled leaves, especially when it is young. In time it is suspected that this plant will become more of a medium size and the leaves may very well become wider and lose some of the rippling, but when young it is a standout and worth a try at the edge of the garden.

Light: Light sun to bright shade. -- Soil: Humus-rich, moist, well-drained.

Related Plants: Pineapple Upsidedown Cake

Zones: 2 - 8
