Hosta 'Dancing Stars' PP#22611

(Walters Gardens 2009)

Clump Size: (ML) 36" x 24"

Leaf Size: 7" x 4" -- Vein Pairs: 8 - 10

Description: Thick, rounded leaves have a wide, dark blue-green margin and a creamy white center.

Blooms: Pale lavender flowers bloom in midsummer.

Comments: Hosta 'Dancing Stars' is a sport of Hosta 'Dancing in the Rain' (PP#15977) with a wider margin and better growth rate than its parent. It is related to Hosta 'Blue Umbrellas' but will be a much smaller clump and will still grow quite slowly compared to most hosta plants. Give it excellent soil, a little sun and plenty of moisture. If stressed in summer the center can green up, so good culture is important for the best performance.

Light: Light sun to full shade. -- Soil: Rich, consistently moist soil.

Related Plants: Blue Umbrellas, Dancing in the Rain, Singing in the Rain

Zones: 2 - 8
