Hosta 'Fragrant Queen'

(van den Top 2008)

Clump Size: (M) 30" x 16"

Leaf Size: 9" x 7" -- Vein Pairs: 8

Description: Leaves are thick, smooth and rounded, dark green with a very wide yellow to creamy white margin. (PP#19508)

Blooms: Very fragrant near white flowers bloom in August.

Comments: This is a tetraploid sport of Hosta 'Fragrant King' with thicker leaves, a wider margin, but also a very slow growth rate. Don't expect this plant to get too big too fast, but it is still very attractive and holds up well through the summer. Like other fragrant hostas it will be fairly sun and heat tolerant.

Light: Part sun to full shade. -- Soil: Humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil.

Related Plants: Fragrant Bouquet, Fragrant King

Zones: 2 - 9
