Hosta 'Lakeside Dragonfly'

(Chastain 1997)

Clump Size: (SM) 24" x 10"

Leaf Size: 7" x 3.5" -- Vein Pairs: 7 - 8

Description: Leaves are lance shaped, medium green with a wide cream margin that often streaks towards the center.

Blooms: Pale lavender flowers bloom in late July/early August.

Comments: This hosta forms a low but wide, attractively cascading mound with a very wide margin for this type of leaf shape. In dense shade with too much moisture we find that the margin can melt in late summer so we suggest planting this one with some morning sunlight to help improve its durability.

Light: Part shade to full shade. -- Soil: Humus-rich, moist, well-drained soil.

Zones: 2 - 8

I have always wanted this hosta due to it's leaf shape and also since it is a Lakeside series. Unique hosta
