Hosta 'Lakeside Symphony'

(Chastain 1988)

Clump Size: (L) 42" x 18"

Leaf Size: 12" x 10" -- Vein Pairs: 13 - 14

Description: Rounded, thick and corrugated, lightly wavy leaves emerge solid chartreuse in the spring and as the season progresses the center fades to yellow while the edge stays a light green. The variegation is very subtle.

Blooms: White flowers bloom in June and July.

Comments: This sport of Hosta 'Piedmont Gold' has some subtle variegation on the edge of the leaves so it is the reverse of Hosta 'Sentimental Journey', a green centered sport also out of Hosta 'Piedmont Gold'.

Light: Part sun to dappled shade. -- Soil: Humus-rich, moist, well-drained soil.

Related Plants: Piedmont Gold, Piedmont Special, Satisfaction, Sentimental Journey

Zones: 2 - 8
