Description: Thick, shiny, dark green leaves are slightly twisted and lightly rippled. Reddish-purple markings stand out on the front and the back of the petioles, adding a very attractive touch to this nice green hosta.
Blooms: Light purple striped flowers bloom in September and October on dark, reddish-purple scapes followed by reddish-purple seed pods.
Comments: This is one of the best red colored hostas we grow, plus it has excellent flowers. Situate it on the edge of a raised bed or plant it in a container so you can best appreciate the red stems.
Light: Part shade to full shade. -- Soil: Humus-rich, consistently moist soil.
