Hosta 'Royal Tiara'

(Zilis 1998)

Clump Size: (S) 15" x 8"

Leaf Size: 5" x 3" -- Vein Pairs: 6

Description: This hosta has twisted chartreuse leaves with a strip of white in the center, forming a small mound. Some plants will also have some strips or splashes of green in the center.

Blooms: Pale lavender flowers in midsummer.

Comments: Originally Mark Zilis registered this as a sport of Hosta 'Jade Scepter', which is the solid green sport of Hosta 'Golden Tiara', but it is evident from the light lavender flowers and other aspects of this plant that the registration was incorrect. Instead this plant is most likely a sport of Hosta 'Gold Edger'.

Light: Light sun to full shade. -- Soil: Humus-rich, moist soil.

Zones: 2 - 8
