Hosta 'Seducer'

(Asch 2004)

Clump Size: (ML) 36" x 26"

Leaf Size: 12" x 9" -- Vein Pairs: 10 - 12

Description: This hosta has dark green leaves with a golden yellow margin, slightly rippled edges, and in bright light and some summer heat it develops an extra strip of creamy white between the center and margin. (PP#22413)

Blooms: Near white flowers bloom in late summer.

Comments: Hosta 'Seducer' is a hybrid of Hosta 'Dorothy Benedict' with an amazing assortment of colors in each leaf. For the best coloring and substance we recommend planting this hosta in some bright light, plus it is fairly sun tolerant. In deep shade the edges tend to melt out so some direct light and a bit of summer heat will help to grow this one better.

Light: Part sun to light shade. -- Soil: Humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil.

Related Plants: Dorothy Benedict

Zones: 2 - 8
