Hosta 'Sun Worshipper'

(Solberg 2006)

Clump Size: (SM) 22" x 10"

Leaf Size: 7" x 3" -- Vein Pairs: 6 - 7

Description: Leaves are slightly shiny and wavy, oval shaped emerging bright yellow in the spring and fading to a parchment yellow late in the season, held on attractive red petioles.

Blooms: Dense clusters of medium lavender, spidery flowers bloom in August.

Comments: This selfed hybrid of Hosta 'Whiskey Sour' is very slow growing but keeps its bright yellow color through the season, even in the shade. Avoid too much sunlight as this one can bleach out in too much light, but a little morning sun will help give it some good color and good substance.

Light: Part shade to full shade. -- Soil: Humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil.

Related Plants: Whiskey Sour

Zones: 2 - 8
