Hosta tokudama 'Flavocircinalis'

(Maekawa/AHS 1987)

Clump Size: (L) 40" x 17"

Leaf Size: 8" x 7" -- Vein Pairs: 16 - 18

Description: Leaves are rounded to heart-shaped, very puckered, blue-green in the center with a wide chartreuse to golden yellow margin.

Blooms: Near white flowers bloom in late June/early July.

Comments: This classic Hosta compares closely to H. 'Frances Williams' in color, shape, and size but tends to form a lower growing, flat mound, plus it does not suffer from spring dessication burn. We prefer the subtle coloration it gets when grown in full shade but it is also somewhat sun tolerant.

Light: Light sun to full shade. -- Soil: Humus-rich, moist soil.

Related Plants: tokudama 'Aureonebulosa'

Zones: 2 - 8
