Hosta 'Undulata Albomarginata'

(Maekawa 1936)

Clump Size: (ML) 36" x 18"

Leaf Size: 6.5" x 3.5" -- Vein Pairs: 8 - 10

Description: Leaves are wavy, oval and pointed, medium green with a slightly riippled, streaky green margin.

Blooms: Sparse, pale lavender flowers bloom on tall stems.

Comments: This is the classic "green and white" hosta used extensively in landscaping and adaptable to many conditions. It is a very vigorous grower that can be divided often to make a mass planting or a long border. The flowers are fairly unattractive, though, so we recommend cutting down the scapes on this plant.

Light: Light sun to full shade. -- Soil: Humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil.

Related Plants: Erromena, Undulata Univittata

Zones: 2 - 8
