Monarda 'Petite Delight'

Monarda 'Petite Delight' (PP#10784) has lavender-rose flowers that bloom mid to late summer on compact 15" stems. It was the first mildew resistant dwarf varieties introduced to the trade and is still a great selection for the moist, partly sunny garden border.

Monarda (bee balm) grows best in part sun to part shade in rich soil with regular moisture where it will spread from underground runners to form a dense colony. Often the best success is had when it is used as a transition plant between the full sun and full shade gardens, such as at the woodland edge or on the northeast side of the house.

Height: 12 - 15" Spacing: 15 - 18" apart or more
Light: Light sun to light shade Soil: Humus rich, moist and well aerated
Bloom Time: Summer Zones: 4 - 8
